This week I am taking part in Hostelbookers 7 super-shots challenge. The idea is to search through all my travel photos and find favorites that fit within the seven categories below. I’ll then be nominating 5 other travel bloggers to do the same. So here goes:
1. A photo that…takes my breath away
Sugarloaf Mountain, Rio de Jeniro, from Christ the Redeemer. The mountain hidden behind the eerie looking clouds was breathtaking.
2. A photo that…makes me laugh or smile
This novice monk was enjoying a little holiday on Bamboo Island, Cambodia. He had so much fun in the waves – and his futile attempt to avoid this wave always makes me smile.
3. A photo that…makes me dream
The Cotopaxi volcano, Ecuador, is a pretty stunning example of the power of Mother Nature, thrusting millions of tons of rock skyward without even breaking into a sweat.
4. A photo that…makes me think
The Great Wall of China – Will the 21st Century be remembered for the re-emergence of this dormant super-power?
5. A photo that…makes my mouth water
How can this not make you hungry? The Cambodian sticky rice with mango was soon polished off.
6. A photo that…tells a story
If this Cuban man’s suit could talk, it would no doubt say ‘Hasta la victoria siempre!’
7. A photo that…I am most proud of (aka my worthy of National Geographic shot)
Proof that the Iguassu falls (from the Argentinean side), are actually the pot at the end of the rainbow.
Tammy & Chris are a couple hailing from Germany and England, meaning between them they are efficient and polite, but unable to talk about football. Find out why they stopped pushing pens around the British civil service to travel the world on their blog.
