So now our placements have been confirmed we need to start organising our move abroad. I really forgot how much there is to do when you are temporarily moving to a different country, especially a developing country. It has been 7 years since I have last done it last and then I only moved to a different EU country, so things were much less complicated.
Now I need to arrange a visa, renew my passport and last week we also had to do a medical check-up, which we passed with flying colours. My pulse was even better than Chris’, which means that I am fitter than him. Ha! He said the machine was broken. 😉 Next up are all the vaccinations and the fun bit-shopping!
We have just found a tennant for our house, which is a really big weight off our chests. Next up are hundreds of forms, from bank details to photocopies of our passports and degrees, the lists (4 in total) are endless. But we are making good progress and to be honest I dont mind doing all of these things (apart from the vaccinations maybe). I am an organised and efficient German after all! 🙂
